Clare Mazitelli designs and runs her own printed textile from home in Canberra, Australia. The fabrics are printed in Melbourne using an environmentally gentle approach that is carried right through the print studio which is committed to running a low impact, sustainable practice.

The fabric of the clutch bags is a natural fibre linen-cotton blend, which makes them incredibly long-lasting. It is printed with non-toxic, solvent free, water based pigment inks. The removable leather straps are vegetable-tanned, an eco-friendly tanning process using natural materials. The bags do an amazing job also as make-up bags.

CARE

Clare recommends having the fabric dry cleaned using ‘GreenEarth Dry Cleaning’, which is gentler to the fabric, safer for your health, and non-toxic to the environment.

If you choose to wash the bag yourself, remove any leather handles (the tote bag handles can be removed by sliding the split rings out of the webbing loops) and give a gentle, cold hand wash and drip dry. Do not rub or ring.

The fabric can be ironed on a warm setting (both sides).

Because of the nature of natural and organic fabrics there are small fibres and slubs in the fabric that can lift the print in tiny spots with washing and general wear.

The leather handles and hardware should be kept dry however if it does get wet let it dry naturally.
